Forty-Nine

The sage has no heart or mind of his own.
Thus, he knows the heart and mind of all.

I am good to the good,
and good to the not-so-good.
This is the goodness of Virtue.

I trust the trustworthy,
and have faith in those who should not be trusted.
This is the faith of Virtue.

The sage is in harmony with the realm of heaven and earth.
His mind is merged with the world.
People turn to him and listen.
He treats them as his children.
